Crown Hill Cemetery is recognized as a Texas Historical Destination. It is closed to future burials and is not owned by any government entity. Crown Hill Cemetery is governed by the non-profit organization, Crown Hill Cemetery Association (CHCA) whom maintains the cemetery's grounds and plans it's future. All board members and volunteers in the CHCA are non-paid volunteers who give their time and sometimes money to keep this important part of Texas history maintained and eventually pass it's duties on to future generations.
CHCA's mission as all non-profit organizations is to seek donations from corporations, the community and fundraisers. The association also interacts with the community to educate it's history, find unknown burials heritage, repair headstones, and search for burials (headstones) that have sunk below the ground.
Crown Hill Cemetery is a small niche and widely unknown to the community including some who have lived in Pasadena their whole life. The association strives to change that and get more people interested in keeping the cemetery a peaceful place of history to visit and learn about for future generations far beyond our time.
In a perfect world Crown Hill Cemetery could use an endowment which would allow the board and it's volunteers to free up their free time from the weekly mowing and weed eating that the cemetery requires and focus that time on cleaning, repairing headstones, and educating the public for it's best interests.
We're not getting any younger. If you know any younger generation passionate about history and or volunteering please get a hold of us. The same, if you have any questions use our

From all of us. Thank you for your interest in Crown Hill Cemetery!
