had to close it down so Henry Clay made arrangements to live there. One day, Henry Clay came down with very bad chills. They were so bad the bed shook. That night he died. Orinda Ann, who was sleeping in another room, was not awakened to be told of his death. The next morning, when they went to tell her, she said she knew he was dead, cause he had floated through the room and waved to her to let her know he was leaving. She related this story to her children and grandchildren. Aunt Jane Newman Hatter gave two plots in Crown Hill Cemetery to her parents, and Henry Clay was buried in a pine box brought from town. Orinda Ann died @ 1928 and is buried next to her husband in Crown Hill Cemetery on the Hatter plot."
