In Loving Memory of Darrell Fykes Chenault

Darrell Fykes Chenault was born July 30,1948 in Indianapolis, Indiana to his parents the late Herschel Chenault and Ernestine Fykes Chenault.  Darrell professed his hope in Christ at an early age.


Darrell attended Indianapolis Public School and was a graduate of Crispus Attucks High School.  Darrell joined the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War from December 1967 to December 1969.  Darrell took pride in his Military Service.  Later in life Darrell attended ITT Technical Institute where he earned an Associates Degree.  Darrell had over 30 years of Entrepreneurial and Managerial Experience. 


Darrell was Co-Owner of H&R Jordan Products Inc. where he showed his skill in creating custom carved Red Wood signs.  Darrell relocated to New Jersey where he was a Multi Store Manager with Jiffy Lube.  After many years in New Jersey he returned to Indianapolis, Indiana where he later retired.


Darrell loved fishing and going to the gun range as his hobbies.  Darrell cherished his daughters Tammy, Lisa and Saroyah along with his three grandsons.  Darrell was the Patriarch of his siblings whom he loved dearly.  His last words to his family were to Watch Over Each Other.


Darrell Fykes Chenault transitioned from this earthly life on Friday February 24, 2017 at the age of Sixty Eight. Father Herschel Chenault Sr., mother Ernestine Fykes Chenault and Joyce Chenault mother of his two daughters Tammy and Lisa preceded him in death.


Darrell leaves to cherish his memories three daughters Tammy Chenault, Lisa Chenault and Saroyah(DeAnthony) Smith, three grandsons Nathan Lee, Dailyn Adair and Isiah Chenault.  His brothers Larry Chenault, Gary Chenault, Herschel(Denise) Chenault II, Anthony(Enriena) Chenault, Michael(Samantha) Chenault and his sister Elaine Chenault-Jones; his Buddies Johnny Walker and Steve Redmon and a host of Nieces and Nephews and many more relatives.
