She was the daughter of Jack Andersen Thomson and Esther Allison Thomson. She was the granddaughter of Thomas Hamilton Thomson who she was extremely close to and the niece of John Allison, Esther’s brother.
She attended School 84 in Indianapolis, and graduated from Shortridge High School in 1944. She graduated from Stephens College in Missouri in 1946. She was a member of the Delta Chi Delta sorority and Stephens League.

Once her sons were raised she spent the next 30 years as a resident of Florida living on Singer Island until she returned to Indianapolis in 2003 to be near her sons and grandchildren.
Her mother and father raised her to be socially gracious and to act like a true lady. She was a very good ballroom dancer which she enjoyed with her husband Clay.
She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and attended Central Baptist Church. Later in her life she enjoyed the preaching of Charles Stanley which she watched faithfully on TV.
She is survived by her four sons, H. Clay Conner, III, Jack T. Conner (Jana), James H. Conner (Christine) and Thomas H. Conner (Bobbi), twelve grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
