In Loving Memory of Gabriel A. Dann

Gabriel Aaron Dann 44, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Mr. Dann had recently moved to Indianapolis but had spent most of his life in Jay County, Indiana where he was born on March 27, 1973 to William and Rebecca Chapman Dann (surviving). He also is survived by one brother, Caleb Dann (wife Leslie Saxman), Indianapolis, and three sons; Matthew Dann (US Army), Alexander Stephenson, Marion, and Avery Dann, Portland.

Funeral services will be performed by family friends Mark and Cindy Strietelmeier at the Crown Hill Funeral Home in Indianapolis, Indiana, Sunday, October 22. Visitation will begin at 11 with the service following at 1 p.m.

Mr. Dann graduated from Jay County High School and attended IPFW majoring in Electronics. He also took much pride from his career as an Electrical Engineer. Dedicated to music Mr. Dann was an accomplished guitar player. He very much enjoyed his music and for many years was lead guitarist for the local group Fat Alice. He is much remembered for his rendition of “Sweet Child O’ Mine” by Guns and Roses. 

Gabriel always loved stories and telling them with family, especially those from childhood and he also loved animals and the New York Yankees.  He will be deeply missed.
